Landscaping Services
Whether you are starting from a green field site or are thinking about an existing landscape makeover, Duncan Quinn Contracts can offer a comprehensive landscape consultation service.
We can offer advice on soft and hard landscaping options, garden refurbishments and upgrades, maintenance and remedial works including tree surgery, and site clearance.

Landscape Maintenance
At Duncan Quinn Contracts, we provide landscape maintenance on gardens, green areas, sportsgrounds, golf courses and many more.
Why is this important? Landscape maintenance such as aerating, assists drainage, improves the soil structure, aids root development of the turf and aids thatch control. This results in an improved harder wearing playing surface that can be played on even in periods of extreme wet and a healthier more vibrant looking turf.
Aeration also assists the turf to uptake fertiliser easier thereby saving money by reducing the amount of fertiliser required.
Aeration is one of the single most important treatments to perform on turf and ideally should be conducted annually. However heavily used pitches including sand based pitches or those growing on heavy clay soil would benefit from two aerations a year.
Duncan Quinn Contracts use a 1.8m wide 'Wiedenmann GXi8 Terra Spike' for installing verti drains in sportsgrounds, lawns or green areas to promote drainage, growth and to reduce hard panning. The Wiedenmann GXi8 Terra Spike can spike up to a depth of 300mm.
Duncan Quinn Contracts also provide the service of the 'Blecavator BV130' which rotavates the topsoil and buries the stones 100/125mm under the topsoil so the soil can retain its own drainage properties. The Blecavator BV130 machine also leaves the soil ready for seeding. A Blec Cultipack Seeder can then be used to seed the Soil providing excellent results.
Both of these machines can be attached to our Kubuta 45hp landscaping tractor, which provide minimal damage to the ground.
The tractor and Fleming finishing mower can return when the grass is ready for cutting.
